Can you share what baby milestones you're most looking forward to? Physical development, language skills, emotional intelligence... I'd love to see what others have experienced and hear about tips for achieving (or supporting) these developmental steps.

I've been loving watching our little one move from a face-down to a side-to-side baby and now starting to sit up with support! It's amazing how fast they grow and develop. We're trying to encourage her to find her arms in front of her when she drops down, so she'll learn to crawl soon. Our doctor recommends tummy time for muscle strengthening, but our little one is also very interested in toys and seems to love playing with them during these sessions! Has anyone else experienced this or have any tips on ways we can keep baby engaged and stimulated?

I've been doing tummy time with my baby and I have a similar experience of them being super interested in toys during these sessions! My baby loves it when I place a toy just out of reach, it encourages them to stretch and move towards it which helps build those strong neck muscles. It's also helpful to mix up the routine by placing toys at different heights or angles so they have to think and problem solve on how to get to them.

I've also found that introducing small textures like soft books with different fabrics or a toy with a rough surface can add variety and keep things interesting for baby. You might have already tried this, but we also used to place a toy just above baby's forehead as they look up, it helps strengthen those neck muscles too and is great for visual stimulation. Would love to hear any other experiences or ideas you may have!

'Ahaha yeah I've also placed toys above their forehead! My little one would always go for those, it was adorable to watch. Another thing we did was place a toy under a pillow or cloth and let them discover it as if it 'magically appeared'. Really encouraged problem solving and neck strength for baby in our experience.'

We used to place toys just above their head, it was quite amusing to watch as they'd always reach up for them! My partner and I love making things 'magically appear' under soft cloths or beneath a folded blanket, it really makes baby discover and develop problem solving skills - such as reaching for the toy, or lifting the cloth.
